BUKIT AMAN SHOCKER: ROGUE COPS TURNED KILLERS FOR THE UNDERWORLD? SKELETAL REMAIN FOUND...
KUALA LUMPUR - Skeletal remains were recovered over the past 24 hours about 100km apart in Selangor and neighbouring Negeri Sembilan, as a special Bukit Aman task force probe activities of a rogue police abduction gang.
Police top brass remain tight-lipped over this major breakthrough, but sources close to the missing victims families told The Rakyat Post the next of kin were contacted just before noon to provide samples for DNA identification.
It was learnt police, aided by cadaver tracker dogs, returned to the separate locations this morning to continue their investigations.
The crime scenes in Dengkil, Selangor and Kuala Klawang, Negeri Sembilan have been cordoned off to facilitate investigations as police continue combing the surrounding vicinity.
The success came about following an unprecedented police crackdown against suspected secret society elements in the sleepy town of Jempol, Negeri Sembilan, over the weekend.
In a related development, the source disclosed that several underworld elements have been taken into police custody in connection with the abduction, and possible murders of the victims.
“So far, at least two remains have been located and police are keeping mum over the cause of death,” the source told The Rakyat Post.
“The families are merely told to provide samples for DNA testing, and nothing else. It seems police are awaiting for a forensic examination to establish cause of death.”
Since 2009, there has been at least 10 reported cases of businessmen reported missing and to date there has been no ransom demand, their fate and whereabouts remain a mystery.
Yesterday, families of abduction victims turned up at Federal police headquarters in Bukit Aman to voice their grievances on being kept in the dark over developments into reports lodged over the abductions of their next of kin.
Accompanied by Puchong Member of Parliament Gobind Singh Deo and lawyer human rights activist P Uthayakumar, family members expressed hope that their presence could bring closure to their grief they underwent following the abductions, some which date back to August 2009.
Both the lawyers told this news portal that while police remain tight-lipped over investigations, the families had learnt that four policemen were among several people in custody.
They then submitted an appeal to police top brass representative Superintendent Afzan Ahmad seeking that a task force be formed to investigate the disappearances of at least 10 men.
As there had been no firm ransom demand following each of the abductions, family members had resigned themselves to fear the worst, including the victims being murdered.
What the family members failed to realise was that a Federal police task force had been formed following the arrests of more than 10 individuals more than a month ago.
Among those nabbed were an inspector and three constables. The others were small time businessmen believed to have links with the Tiga Line crime syndicate.

While some of those detained were released on bail due to insufficient evidence, the rogue cops still remained in custody assisting interrogators.
Last Saturday, more than 50 police personnel led by Bukit Aman’s organised crime gang chief Deputy Superintendent Shan Gopal launched an unprecedented Ops Cantas Khas in the sleepy town of Jempol, Negeri Sembilan.
The manner in which the operation was carried out shocked long-time residents as never had they seen so many police roadblocks, searching of premises, vehicles and suspected hideouts simultaneously.
More than 100 individuals were screened for questioning and at least 30 were taken into custody after they were found with recognisable tattoos indicating gang affiliations. The raids also led to an assortment of weapons seized.
One of those detained included a foreigner who was taken into custody for narcotics-related activities, while others were found with criminal records and were sought by police. - Therakyatpost
