Grow a backbone and debate me, Rafizi tells 1MDB chief

PKR's Pandan MP Rafizi Ramli says he will "harass" 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) boss Arul Kanda Kandasamy until the latter agrees to debate on the troubled state-owned investment firm.

Arul Kanda earlier today said he would not debate Rafizi, after DAP's Tony Pua withdrew as the earlier debate candidate.

"We will harass him until he agrees to the debate," Rafizi told a press conference at the Parliament lobby today.

 He also asked Arul Kanda to "grow a backbone" and debate him.

"He should know that he is not a normal CEO for a normal company. He is answerable to the public and 1MDB involves public funds. At the very least, be brave to answer to the public," he said.
