Tapah-Gopeng stretch of NSE closed due to gas leak

The stretch of the North-South Expressway (NSE) between Tapah and Gopeng in Perak was closed at noon today following the leakage of cooking gas from a lorry carrying the tanks, according to a spokesperson of the Plus Traffic Monitoring Centre.

He said the stretch was closed to enable Plus employees as well as firemen to stop the leak.

“The stretch is expected to be reopened this evening,” he told Bernama.

The spokesperson advised road users to use alternative routes, saying the police were controlling traffic at the approaches to the closed stretch.
