The Ipoh High Court today sealed the belongings of former Umno leader Hamidah Osman after she failed to pay damages in a defamation suit by Shah Alam MP Khalid Samad.
Hamidah was recently sacked by Umno for her criticism against Umno president Najib Abdul Razak.
Court bailiffs sealed her belongings at her house in Kampung Tersusun, Jalan Gopeng in Batu Gajah this morning, reported The Star.
The former assemblyperson was in April ordered to pay Khalid RM200,000 in damages.
She had published a picture of Khalid in a bishop's robe in a blog post dated Dec 23, 2011.
In his statement of claim, the Amanah MP said Hamidah implied that he had converted from Islam to Christianity through the 'superimposed' image.
Hamidah had denied accusing the MP of apostasy or editing the image. Mkini
