Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin may have shaken hands with Datuk Seri Najib Razak at the end of Umno's annual general assembly on Saturday, but the estranged party deputy president seemed to affirm his continuing dissent against the party president with a photo of a thank you message from a supporter on his Facebook page today.
The axed deputy prime minister, who has been critical of Najib, posted a photo of a napkin with a handwritten message, saying he received it from a woman at a cafe this morning.
"Dear YB Tan Sri Muhyiddin, Thank you very much for standing up for all of us when no one dare (sic) to do it.
"We are all for you and we are praying that your struggle is not in vain," the note written on the napkin said.

Najib shook hands with Muhyiddin at the end of the party's assembly two days ago while calling for reconciliation following months of criticism by his deputy over 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) and the RM2.6 billion donation in the prime minister's personal bank accounts.
But immediately after, Muhyiddin told reporters he still wanted Najib to explain the issues he had raised.
His open questioning of Najib had led to his axing from the Cabinet in a July reshuffle.
Muhyiddin had also refused to answer reporters who repeatedly asked him if his acceptance of Najib's hand meant that the two had reconciled.
He had also said he had no regrets over criticising Najib and did not see the need to apologise to anyone.
