Perikatan Nasional has removed two Bersatu leaders from the coalition’s top leadership and replaced them with one from PAS and one from MIPP.
Bersatu vice-president Radzi Jidin was removed as PN’s election director and replaced with PAS election director Sanusi Nor, while Bersatu secretary-general Azmin Ali was also removed as PN’s deputy secretary-general.
PN chairperson Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar, in a statement released after a supreme council meeting at the PAS headquarters, said the changes were made to prepare for the Johor and Negeri Sembilan state elections.
“Pursuant to the powers vested under Clauses 8.3(V), (VI) and (VII) of the PN constitution, I hereby announce the restructuring of the PN administration, effective immediately,” said the PAS vice-president.
In the same reshuffle, Sanusi was removed as PN treasurer and replaced by Subramaniam Surunaryan from MIPP.

According to Samsuri, an emergency meeting of the PN supreme council will be convened soon to further strengthen the coalition’s organisational structure.
The announcement comes amid major shifts within the opposition bloc following the breakdown in ties between PAS and Bersatu.
Hamzah and his faction
Parti Wawasan Negara founder Hamzah Zainudin was also seen attending a meeting at PAS headquarters with several opposition MPs ahead of Monday’s Dewan Rakyat sitting.
Among other opposition lawmakers spotted at the meeting were Ronald Kiandee (Beluran), Saifuddin Abdullah (Indera Mahkota), Mas Ermieyati Samsudin (Masjid Tanah), Rosol Wahid (Hulu Terengganu), and Abdul Khalib Abdullah (Rompin).

On June 13, PAS announced that it had agreed to reappoint Hamzah as opposition leader during a convention that also saw the launch of his new party.
Hamzah stepped down amid pressure from Bersatu leaders after he was expelled from the party following a leadership dispute with Bersatu president Muhyiddin Yassin.
Before his expulsion, Hamzah served as Bersatu deputy president. - Mkini
