In a post on Threads, Ahmad Fazli said the signature was not that of the Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Federal Territories) and described the claim as defamatory.
"I deny that it is Hannah Yeoh's official signature and it is clearly defamatory.
"I will lodge a report with the authorities soon," he said.
Ahmad Fazli was responding to a post by a social media user who expressed gratitude that Najib would be granted house arrest.
The notice shared in the post appeared to bear the signatures of His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia and Yeoh.
The purported order, dated Sept 18, 2026, states Najib is to serve the remainder of his sentence under house arrest at his residence in Taman Duta, Kuala Lumpur.
It also states that Najib must pay all fines imposed on him, failing which an additional year would be added to his prison sentence.
The statement comes as Najib's pardon issue has come under renewed attention following a report by The Straits Times that the Federal Territories Pardons Board will reconvene tomorrow, just a week after the matter was deferred at its Sept 11 meeting.
NST has reached out to Yeoh's team for confirmation on the meeting.
In July 2020, Najib, who was convicted of misappropriating RM42 million belonging to SRC International, was fined RM210 million and sentenced to 12 years in prison. The conviction and sentence were upheld by the Federal Court in August 2022. - NST
