The woman, in her 40s, is suspected of issuing fake receipts for building plan processing fees between 2022 and 2023.

PETALING JAYA: The Selangor Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has arrested a local authority officer suspected of misappropriating about RM63,000 collected from building plan processing fees.
The woman, in her 40s, was arrested at about 10.30am today when she turned up at the Selangor MACC office to give a statement.
Preliminary investigations found that the suspect allegedly committed the offence between 2022 and 2023 by issuing receipts believed to be false.
The money collected was not deposited into the revenue account of the local authority where she worked.
Selangor MACC director Azwan Ramli confirmed the arrest, saying the case is being investigated under Section 18 of the MACC Act 2009. - FMT
