Bukit Aman's anti-narcotics chief says the Malaysian man arrested with more than 100kg of shabu was using Brunei as a transit route.

KUALA LUMPUR: A Malaysian man arrested with more than 100kg of suspected shabu at the Brunei-Miri border last week was believed to be on his way to Sabah when he was detained, police said.
The 46-year-old suspect from Miri was arrested while entering Brunei from Miri, Sarawak, and was believed to have used the country as a transit route before re-entering Malaysia, said Bukit Aman anti-narcotics chief Hussein Omar Khan.
He said the man was believed to have planned to re-enter Sarawak through the Labu-Mengkalap route before proceeding to Sabah through Merapok-Sindumin.
The shabu was found concealed in 100 tea packets and had an estimated street value of RM5 million, making it the largest drug haul recorded at the Brunei border checkpoint. - FMT
