MALAYSIA UNMASKED BY 'ALLAH': The awful truth behind the false images of racial harmony

M'SIA UNMASKED BY 'ALLAH': The awful truth behind the false images of racial harmony
Ahead of the Allah appeal case outcome at the Federal Court in Malaysia, the nation is gripped by a fear that remains deeply buried in the hearts of all concerned.
The world court of opinions – both from the Muslim and Christian worlds have expressed their honest-to-God thoughts and feelings. The wise and learned opinions and solidarity pouring in clearly points the finger at a lost leadership in Malaysia.
The politicians had every opportunity to navigate the nation’s Muslim and Christian followers to a bay of greater tolerance, respect and acceptance of the very fundamental tenets of religious freedom and rights as is cemented in the history of human civilization.
Unfortunately, the powers that be have allowed the gutter-tides to sweep across the nation all in the name of political power brokering and the unending quest to control and wield supremacy over the population.
That is one truth that we must have the courage to admit if we are serious about being garlended as a ‘developed nation status’ by 2020.
Worsening conditions in Malaysia with extremism getting the upper-hand
The landscape of politics here in Malaysia is only getting murkier. The so-called champions of Islam who are from the block patronizing the ruling UMNO-led government are already making an eleventh hour clarion call to Muslims here to assemble at the compound of the Federal Court to cry out in prayer for exclusivity in calling the Creator.
Meanwhile, the afflicted Catholic Church prelate Right Reverend Murphy Pakiam humbly speaks to his flock to pray in their respective places of worship on the first day of the Christian Lenten calendar for justice, honor and dignity.
Lack of leadership
Where is the voice of the leader of a nation, the prime minister of Malaysia? Where is the voice of the politicians who clamored at every junction to stand up for justice and freedom and rights as is enshrined in the pages of civilization and upheld in nations across the democratic worlds?
Indeed, Malaysia has self-inflicted itself with injuries that may never heal and can only fester deeper wounds. Indeed, when a nation’s leader fails, the entire population of thirty million people will suffer too.
In the meantime, the caring, concerned, noble minded citizens and leaders who concur with the world’s opinion can only wait in apprehension for the outcome come Wednesday, 5 March 2014 – a date that will permanently seal the nation’s fate or redeem its chipped away reputation and honor. - MAILBAG
