The Johor government today tabled the controversial Housing and Real Property Board Bill at the state assembly in Nusajaya.
The bill was tabled at 2.30pm by executive councilor Abdul Latiff Bandi.
This is despite calls from the opposition bench to postpone the bill and form a select committee to plug loopholes it claims could lead to corruption.
The bill was tabled on schedule after Menteri Besar Mohamed Khaled Nordin yesterday announced that it will be amended to remove clauses which extend the sultan's powers. -Malaysiakini
