PARLIAMENT The federal government is seeking a RM4.112 billion supplementary supply budget for the 2014 budget, about eight months after Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak tabled a RM264.2 billion budget for the 2014 fiscal year.
This is the first supplementary budget sought by the government since the budget last year, with a bulk, at RM3 billion, of the additional supply to be channeled for Treasury General services.
The Education Ministry is the second highest recipient, with RM634 million of the additional budget sought.
The supply bill is one of six bills being tabled in Parliament today, with the other five being amendment bills to existing acts.
