DAP leaders have urged Gerakan president Mah Siew Keong and MCA president Liow Tiong Lai to reject cabinet positions unless Selangor Umno withdraws one of its members' motion in the state assembly to introduce hudud.
Gelang Patah MP Lim Kit Siang (left) and Petaling Jaya Utara MP Tony Pua said the move by Selangor Umno means that Gerakan and MCA, who are opposed to the Islamic penal code, can no longer accuse DAP of inaction over the hudud issue.
"We call upon the BN partners to call for this motion to be withdrawn next week," Pua told a press conference at the Parliament lobby.
