Court orders woman to pay a RM5,000 fine for throwing waste water and causing RM10,500 in losses.
PETALING JAYA: A housewife was fined RM5,000 by the Magistrate’s Court here for splashing waste water on a customer service counter of a condominium management office.
Magistrate Fadzlin Suraya Mohd Suah sentenced Muhadiela Mustafa, 32, after she pleaded guilty to committing a mischievous act by splashing waste water on three computers and several important documents, resulting in losses amounting to RM10,500.
The court also ordered that she serve four months’ jail if she failed to pay the fine. Muhadiela paid the fine.
She was charged with committing the offence at the Customer Service Management Office in Block D of the Perdana Exclusive Condo, Damansara Perdana, here at 10.20am on April 7.
She was charged under Section 427 of the Penal Code which provides for a jail sentence of up to five years or a fine, or both.
