Parliament's Public Accounts Committee (PAC) chairman Datuk Nur Jazlan Mohamed said the report will only be forwarded to the bi-partisan committee for perusal, as part of its ongoing probe into the debt-laden state investment arm.
"I was told by the A-G today that he is ready to table the interim report on 1MDB by the end of the month.
"After that, it will be tabled to the PAC," he said after a briefing with the A-G today following the tabling of the second series of the 2014 A-G report today.
He said the interim report would not be distributed to all lawmakers.
"This is because the A-G's report will be part of PAC's report on 1MDB," Nur Jazlan said.
“The findings will eventually come out in the final report."
He said PAC will take its time to investigate the company as there are a lot of information for the panel to verify before making its conclusion.
"The A-G report is one of them. We will take our time to go through the 1MDB issue," he added.
Criticism has been mounting over the Finance Ministry-owned investment vehicle, established in 2009, which has chalked up debts of up to RM42 billion.
Scrutiny has grown more intense following revelations of dubious transactions, prompting opposition politicians, former and current Umno leaders including long-serving former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad to demand a thorough investigation into the company.
