JAKARTA - Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has arrived for a two-day working visit.
The Prime Minister landed at Halim Perdanakusuma Airport, Jakarta at about 12.30pm (local time), and was accompanied by his wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor.
Najib was welcomed by Indonesia's Industry Minister Saleh Husin and other government officials.
The Prime Minister is expected to hold bilateral talks with President Joko Widodo to further strengthen bilateral cooperation in the palm oil industry as well as discuss environmental issues.
Najib will then meet Joko and his wife Iriana at Istana Bogor, where the Indonesian president will host lunch.
The visit will provide the opportunity for both countries to explore and further enhance cooperation towards a sustainable palm oil industry.
The meeting is follow-up to the previous two ministerial meetings between Malaysia and Indonesia, held on Aug 27 in Kuala Lumpur and Oct 3 in Jakarta.
Najib is accompanied by Plantation Industries and Commodities Minister Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas, Natural Resources and Environment Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Razali Ibrahim and other government officials. - ANN
