Legal snag, so Jho Low can't be summoned yet

Business tycoon Jho Low cannot be summoned before the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) just yet because of a legal snag.
PAC chief Hasan Arifin said this must be reviewed before Low is called to testify on the 1MDB probe.
"For Jho Low... because he does not directly hold a position in 1MDB, we have to look at the legal aspects on how (we can summon him)," Hasan told reporters outside the Parliament lobby today.
On Monday, Hasan said there was no urgency to summon Low.
Earlier, the PAC chief confirmed that 1MDB boss Arul Kanda Kandasamy and his predecessor Shahrol Halmi will be summoned to testify before the committee on Dec 1 and Nov 25 respectively.
Low, whose full name is Low Taek Jho, is widely believed to be a key advisor for 1MDB.
He had helped set up 1MDB's predecessor, the Terengganu Investment Authority.
The Wall Street Journal claims 1MDB funds meant for a joint venture with PetroSaudi International ended up in the coffers of Good Star Ltd, a company allegedly owned by Low. -Mkini
