KUALA LUMPUR - Umno leaders are in good spirits hot off the heels of the 69th Umno General Assembly, evident by the display of good humour on social media.
Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin earlier tweeted a picture of Uo President Datuk Seri Najib Razak, Vice President Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein and himself in deep conversation while Umno Supreme Council member Datuk Abdul Rahman Dahlan looked on. It was taken during the assembly which ended yesterday.
Khairy tagged Abdul Rahman in his Tweet, jokingly captioning the picture as, “When you finally realise you’re the guy other kids don’t want to be friends with.”
This prompted a response from Abdul Rahman who said in jest, “That’s it! You will be barred from Sabah! #NoRetreatNoSurrender.”
Hishammuddin got in on the action, tweeting, “Must have a big heart bro (Perlu berjiwa besar bro)”, aiming that tweet at Abdul Rahman, picking a line from Najib’s Umno General Assembly speech where he said he had a “big heart” referring to those who crossed party lines.
Khairy’s initial tweet had been re-tweeted 280 times.
