SHAH ALAM: A UiTM deputy dean and lecturer was charged on Monday at the Magistrate’s Court for allegedly molesting a student.
Rahmat Ghazali, who was deputy dean for communications and media studies at UiTM, claimed trial before Magistrate Surya Wati Shawal for allegedly molesting 23 year-old student..
He was said to have committed the offence at the UiTM office in Shah Alam on the afternoon of December 14.
He pleaded not guilty to the charge against him under section 354 of the Penal Code which provides a maximum jail term of 10 years if convicted.
Magistrate Surya Wati set bail for Rahmat at RM3,500 with one surety.
The next mention date was fixed for January 20.
