Cops, MCMC raid 'dragon's lair' over Rosmah-Pahang Sultan photo

A team from Bukit Aman police headquarters and the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) woke up a 'dragon' sleeping in her lair this morning, in connection to alleged defamatory postings against Pahang Sultan Ahmad Shah and the prime minister's wife Rosmah Mansor.
Consultant Syarul Ema Rena Abu Samah, also known by her online moniker Ratu Naga, told Malaysiakini that 14 officers raided her house this morning after a police report was lodged against her Facebook posting.
"It was about 10.30am and I was still sleeping. Not only I had slept late, I am also heavily pregnant.
"They banged on my door and raided my house like I was some terrorist. They also checked my car, to look for gadgets," she said.
Syarul Ema said the team only left after several hours and they instructed her to be present by 3pm at the MCMC headquarters in Putrajaya for further questioning.
"I heard that Ali Tinju (Umno-linked red shirts movement leader Mohd Ali Baharom) wanted to lodge a report against me, so I waited for him at Dang Wangi, before going to MCMC.
"He did not show up but I was informed the report was already lodged," said Syarul Ema, who insisted that while her posting might have mocked Rosmah, there was no reference made to the Pahang Sultan.
"I only said she looked 'cute and affectionate' (comel dan manja)," she said, adding that her handphone was seized at the end of the questioning which lasted about four hours.
Syarul Ema, who is represented by lawyer Latheefa Koya, also questioned alleged delays in investigating the other Facebook accounts that were also named in the police report.
Rosmah's assistant Rizal Mansor yesterday said a police report has been lodged against parties who uploaded and shared photos with alleged intention to shame, mock and slander her, as well as the Pahang Sultan.
According to the police report, the four Facebook accounts named Ratu Naga, Johor Bangkit, Suara Rakyat and Albert Monteluez.

The police report was lodged based on several photographs taken during Najib’s annual Hari Raya open house function in Pekan, Pahang, on Saturday.
Based on the photographs, the Facebook postings implied that Rosmah had inappropriately cozied up to the sultan.
In a separate Facebook post today, Rizal however said that Rosmah does not let such attacks affect her and is forgiving to all who slandered her. - Mkini
