Malaysians advised to be cautious and alert in Thailand

This follows a series of bomb explosions in southern Thailand last night which killed four people and injured 35.

BANGKOK: Malaysians visiting Thailand have been told to be more conscious of safety and to be more alert of their surroundings.
Malaysian Ambassador to Thailand Nazirah Hussain issued the advisory to Malaysian citizens who are in Thailand or are planning to visit the country soon following the latest developments in the country.
“Malaysians who are in Thailand or are planning to visit the country soon should be extra careful of their own safety.
“This is because nobody knows whether the bombing incidents, which hit several southern Thai provinces last night, will recur,” she told Bernama today.
Thai police said there were bomb explosions in several southern Thailand provinces last night. These killed four people and injured 35 others.
So far the embassy has not received any reports of injuries involving Malaysians in the violence and will continue to monitor the situation.
