Rosmah should perhaps look into the mirror

YOURSAY | ‘Shop like no tomorrow. Spend our hard-earned money like your grandfather's.’
Anonymous 1890491455255851: PM’s wife Rosmah Mansor is an over-indulgent hypocrite who spends millions on herself (which does nothing to help her by the way).
Perhaps she should be reminded that politicians wives should be respected for the way they inspire people and help those in need - basically for their hearts and intelligence, rather than how they look.
If I were her, I would hide in a hole somewhere and not come out.
Slumdog: Oh my goodness, this is from Rosmah’s school of deportment and RM1,200 hair dos.
This is from someone who flaunts her unexplained wealth at every opportunity and wears only branded clothes, handbags and jewellery costing hundreds of thousands, preaching to others about portraying a conservative self-image.
This has to take the prize for irony of the year. People in such positions really set themselves up to ridicule.
Existential Turd: There is self-image, and then there is self-image. If you are talking about surface self-image, a thousand-dollar hairdo may probably help.
But if the inner self-image is rotten, even Hermes bag will not make you look regal.
Just A Malaysian: Image and beauty comes from the inside – integrity, a kind heart, an honest desire to serve the country. These are beautiful qualities that will shine through. Sorry, Rosmah, you have none of these.
Ah-hah!!!: Does this mean that Ho Ching, wife of the Singapore PM Lee Hsien Loong, has failed her country when she carried a S$15 (RM45) bag during the recent state visit to the US?
Surely that cheap bag has no place when she is representing Singapore? Of course, that the bag was designed by a student of a school for autistic children is absolutely no excuse, eh?
Dont Just Talk: Yes, Rosmah, Ho Ching, attended a state dinner at the White House hosted by President Barack Obama and she was seen carrying a pouch made in Singapore and costing S$15.
She was elegant with her simple dressing, despite the cheap handbag which she carried with her for that occasion.
One need not be seen carrying a branded handbag like Hermes or Berkins or wearing branded wristwatch like Rolex or Patek Phillpe to look elegant.
One Malaysia: Indeed, Rosmah is the perfect example of what she preaches: "neat and exciting" with RM20,000 dollar handbags, million-dollar diamond rings and clothes specially designed and made-to-fit in Sydney - and oh, RM1,200 weekly hair-do.
Vijay47: In keeping with her renowned elegance, Rosmah has graciously confirmed to disbelievers that Malay traditions follow Indian cultural practices.
In Hinduism, a basic requirement before a couple should get married is that they should share some of the 10 primary matching qualities or "poruthams".
From her recent exhortation that politicians' wives need not "wear expensive or branded clothing", she reveals that she has at least two attributes that her husband regularly exhibits with pride.
First, a total disconnect with reality and second, being able to make profound sermons, however ridiculous and false they are, which can only stun the audience.
Despite her skills in sifting fact from slander, poor Rosmah is still unable to identify who the mysterious MO1 (Malaysian Official 1) is.
Heck, I suppose having matching birth stars, and ‘mahendra’ and ‘yoni poruthams’ are more than enough for Mr and Mrs Pekan.
Ali Baba: Rosmah, please learn from Kak Wan (PKR president Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail) a thing or two.
CQ Muar: Ali Baba, I absolutely agree with you on your statement about Kak Wan. I recall an occasion when she was in Muar town to do a walkabout, campaigning for the PKR candidate before GE13.
I was accompanying her on her rounds meeting people tirelessly, shaking hands with the town folks and taking pictures with them, especially the ladies clamouring to have the rare opportunity to do so.
Towards the end, we were close to a row of shoplots selling shoes. I was surprised she stepped into a shop to buy a pair of shoes for herself. What was even more surprising - she opted for something inexpensive, and paid less than RM30 for the pair.
Well, wasn't that exemplary of a party president, and a well-known lady politician at that? In sharp contrast, would Rosmah opt for such items at such low price like the former deputy PM's wife?
Inworldnotof: Shop like no tomorrow. Spend our hard-earned money like your grandfather's. Nothing so far done is wrong, according to your warped and skewed, self-serving sense of truth, justice, accountability, integrity. Now painting selves as victims.
We don’t need the opposition to unravel the real truth about your depravations. The rest of the world is doing it for us. For you too. If you dare to know. Of course, you don’t dare. Or care.
So enjoy before your seams burst. Enough is enough. The pretence is over. Over, too, all the delusion and denial. What a rotter for a first, ahem, lady.

Tulan: I need RM2.6 billion to take care of my wife’s self-image. Any Arab that you know who can help? - Mkini
