Make me FAS chief and problem solved, says Jamal

© Provided by MToday News Sdn Bhd jalam-FAS2PETALING JAYA: Colourful Umno leader Jamal Yunos today appeared at the Football Association of Selangor (FAS) office in red and yellow face paint, and this time he is ready to lead the state football association.

Make him the president and he promises to raise the FAS to be on par with other teams in the country.

“I am here today to offer my services to help FAS reach higher levels, similar to that of JDT,” Jamal declared to reporters today, referring to the Johor Darul Takzim football club owned by Johor Crown Prince Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim.

“If people are saying JDT is ahead of the game then at least we want to be able to compete with them.”

Among others, Jamal promised to settle salary issues involving players and office bearers.

This, he guarantees, can be settled within 14 days of his presidency.

For Jamal, money is not the issue.

“The question of funding is secondary,” said the Sungai Besar Umno chief.

“No amount of money will ever be enough if the management is not good.

“More important is how we are going to motivate the players to turn 2017 into a historical feat for Selangor,” he said.
