Police tell public to stop morbid speculation regarding deaths of 18-year-old boys in Kota Bharu.
PETALING JAYA: A post-mortem has revealed that the two youths found dead in a car in Kemumin, Kota Bharu, were killed by heatstroke, NST Online reported today.
Kelantan police chief Ab Rahman Ismail said now that the Raja Perempuan Zainab II Hospital forensics department had determined the cause of the boys’ death, all public speculation should end.
However, police were still investigating the case and the circumstances surrounding their deaths, he said.
Earlier it was reported that Mohamad Sharul Nizam Hasbullah and Nik Muhammad Hafiz Nik Zamzam, both 18, were found dead yesterday in a Perodua Kelisa in Kampung Panchor.
About 6am, Hafiz’s father spotted the bodies, one in the front seat and the other in the backseat of the car parked less than 50m from his house.
The two boys were last seen leaving the house on Saturday night with another male, believed to be their friend. -FMT
