KOTA KINABALU: Two police reports have been lodged in Sabah over the gay sex videos that targeted Economic Affairs Minister Mohamed Azmin Ali.
Sabah police chief Omar Mammah confirmed the reports were lodged in Sandakan and Kota Belud but declined to specify who filed the complaints.
“They are members of the public. We have handed over the reports to Bukit Aman.
“They have a special team in charge of the investigations,” he told reporters at the state police headquarters in Kepayan here today.
Yesterday, Muhammad Haziq Abdul Aziz, the private secretary of Deputy Primary Industries Minister Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin, shocked the nation with a 30-second video clip uploaded on Facebook, in which he said he was the person seen in several viral video clips showing two men performing homosexual acts, one of whom resembles a senior minister.
Haziq named Azmin as the other person in the video, a claim the PKR deputy president says is aimed at killing his political career.
Haziq also claimed the viral sex clips were recorded without his permission on May 11 at Hotel Four Points in Sandakan, during the recent by-election in the Sabah east coast district. - FMT
