PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim met with Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad to discuss a "number of latest issues".
Although he didn't provide details on what was discussed, the PKR president said they briefly spoke on several pressing matters, in and outside the country.
"We also agreed that the government needs to be swift and firm in addressing challenges of the economy, which includes encouraging domestic and foreign investments," Anwar said in Facebook post on Monday (June 24).
There was no mention of them discussing about Dr Mahathir's recent statement that he will stay on for not more than three years - which is longer than the two-year period - that was agreed by Pakatan Harapan.
Earlier, in a separate event in Putrajaya, it was learnt that Anwar would be meeting Dr Mahathir to seek clarification on the remarks'
