Azmin Ali calls on politicians to take heed of PM's stance against gutter politics

Economic Affairs Minister Mohamed Azmin Ali, who has been implicated in a video sex clip scandal recently, urges those in politics to put the practice of gutter politics to halt.
Azmin echoed Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad's sentiment when the prime minister commented on Wednesday that the politics in the country should be made cleaner.
Mahathir also warned that he may be the next victim if gutter politics continues to be in practice in this country.
Azmin thanked Mahathir for expressing his concern and said that people want the Pakatan Harapan government to offer good political values and clear principles while at the same time avoiding gutter politics.
"As the new government who has been given a mandate, 61 years after independence, we are responsible to give the best service (to the people)..so I hope that we take heed of the Prime Minister's advice seriously," he said when met at the Selangor secretary chief Mohd Amin Ahmad Ahya's open house in Shah Alam today.
Meanwhile, Azmin reiterated his confidence in the police to handle the matter pertaining the viral sex clip.
Azmin said he learned that police had recorded his political secretary Hilman Idham's statement this morning but have yet to record his.
On Tuesday, media and PKR personalities received several sex video clips of a duo engaged in a sexual act via Whatsapp that was sent by unknown parties which featured a man said to resemble the Economics Affairs minister.

Subsequently, Santubong PKR Youth chief Haziq Abdullah Abdul Aziz had confessed that he was one of the duo in the video, while Azmin had issued a denial and said he would take legal action.
On Wednesday, the perpetrators had shared another clip via Whatsapp to the media and PKR personalities.
Haziq had also filed a police report with the intent to rebut accusations against him by several parties including "netizens and cybertroopers.", while Hilman had countered with his own report against Haziq. - Mkini
