SHAH ALAM – More people will be called up in connection with the sex videos implicating Datuk Seri Azmin Ali if the need arises, says Datuk Mazlan Mansor.
The Deputy Inspector-General of Police said the police will call up anyone they deem relevant to the case.
“It will depend on the investigation and we will analyse what we have so far,” he told a press conference after witnessing the handing over of police vehicles courtesy of Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad (MRCB) at the Selangor police headquarters on Tuesday (June 18).
Mazlan was asked whether more PKR members will be called up for their statements to be recorded.
On the status of the investigation into the sex videos, including ascertaining their authenticity, Mazlan said there is no time-frame but insisted that the police want to wrap it up as soon as possible.
“We want to solve it soonest,” he said.
Asked on Azmin’s allegation that PKR members were behind the videos, Mazlan did not comment.
However, he confirmed that police have recorded Azmin’s statement but refused to elaborate further.
In the past week, clips of a sex video involving two men have gone viral, followed by a confession by Haziq Abdullah Abdul Aziz, who is also Santubong PKR Youth chief, that he was one of the two men in the video
He claimed that the other person in the video was Azmin, who is the Economic Affairs Minister and PKR deputy president.
Azmin had categorically denied the allegation, saying it was made to tarnish his reputation and destroy his political career.
Haziq is being investigated under four charges, including Section 377B of the Penal Code for carnal intercourse against the order of nature and Section 292 for distributing obscene materials.
On the event, Mazlan said that MRCB had presented the police with four four-wheel drives and 20 Honda CBR250 worth a total of RM892,000.
“The vehicles will be used by our traffic police assigned to escort and for traffic control during the delivery of U-through grinders to LRT3 project sites.
“We are grateful for the vehicles and we hope more private entities can follow MRCB’s lead,” he said.

Following sex video, PKR Youth to convene emergency meeting
GEORGE TOWN – A meeting of top PKR Youth members is expected to take place at Rumah Pemuda in Shah Alam on Wednesday (June 19) night.
While it is yet to be ascertained on what the meeting is about, the topic of the sex video implicating PKR deputy president Datuk Seri Azmin Ali will be unavoidable.
Those expected to turn up at the meeting are Selangor Mentri Besar Amirudin Shari, Deputy PKR Youth chief Hilman Idham and PKR Seberang Jaya assemblyman Dr Afif Bahardin who is also deputy division chief for Permatang Pauh PKR.
In a viralled WhatsApp message, it stated that the “emergency” meeting will be held at 8.30pm on Tuesday (June 18) night at the same location, but a source confirmed that the meet has been postponed to Wednesday.
The message also stated that it will be chaired by Hilman.
