PETALING JAYA: PKR Youth vice-chief Nazree Yunus has been ticked off by party secretary-general Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution for asking Haziq Abdullah Abdul Aziz to be sacked from the party.
"The decision by the disciplinary board was presented at the political bureau meeting on June 19. The political bureau agreed that Haziq be issued a show cause letter, agreeing with the disciplinary board's decision.
"The party also reminds all members to abide by the decision and not to make statements which may cause the party to take action according to the rules and the constitution of the party," said Saifuddin.
He said since the PKR political bureau had already made the decision, Nazree should not make statements without facts against the party and the leadership.
He was responding to the statement by Nazree on Wednesday (June 19) that PKR Youth leaders had decided that it was incumbent of the party's disciplinary board to kick Haziq out, given the damage he had done to the party.
Nazree said this to the media after a meeting of Youth leaders aligned to PKR deputy president Datuk Seri Azmin Ali on Wednesday night.

Haziq had confessed to being one of the men in a viral sex video clip.
He identified the other man in the video as Azmin, who is also Economic Affairs Minister.
Azmin has since said that the video and confession are all part of "a nefarious plot" to kill off his political career from within PKR itself.- Star
