PAS is offering to help the authorities to solve the sex video scandal allegedly implicating Economic Affairs Minister Azmin Ali.
PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang said today if their help was accepted, they could resolve the matter immediately.
"PAS can help, we can solve it in a week," Hadi told the media in Kuantan today on the sidelines the Islamic party's annual general assembly.
Hadi, however, was of the opinion that the authorities should focus on discovering who circulated the video clips rather than who acted in them.
"What is important is finding the distributor. Even a dead person can be an actor, but the distributor is important," he said.
Sex videos alleging to be of Azmin and another man were distributed on social media two weeks ago.
Subsequently, Santubong PKR Youth chief Haziq Abdullah Abdul Aziz made a "confession" saying he was the one in them and that the other individual was Azmin.
Azmin, the PKR deputy president, has denied his involvement, saying it was libel and part of a plot to destroy his career.
Police are investigating Haziq for multiple offences including carnal intercourse against the order of nature.
They are currently in the midst of authenticating the video clips. - Mkini
