Latest sex video uploaded on porn site falls under same probe - police

Police will not open a fresh investigation into the latest video purportedly showing Haziq Abdullah Abdul Aziz engaging in sexual acts with a man resembling Economic Affairs Minister Azmin Ali.
Deputy Inspector-General of Police Mazlan Mansor said whatever new video leaked concerning this alleged scandal would be investigated under the same investigation paper (IP).
"This thing is happening every day. Whatever it is, all would be brought under one IP," Mazlan told reporters in Kuala Lumpur this afternoon.
He was commenting on a new video uploaded on YouTube yesterday, while a nine-minute-plus full version was uploaded to a pornography site.
Mazlan also said that apart from Haziq, no other arrests have been made in connection with this case.
He added that the forensic team is still in the process of determining if the videos are authentic.
After the first wave of clips emerged some two weeks ago, Haziq, who is the Santubong PKR chief, confirmed that it was him in the video.
He also claimed that the other person was Azmin and that the alleged incident took place in the minister's hotel room in Sandakan last month.
Haziq was detained at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) on June 14 and freed on police bail the next day.
Azmin, who is also PKR deputy president, has described this as a nefarious plot to ruin his political career.
On an unrelated matter, Mazlan said the police have formed a task force to curb drug smuggling in Langkawi.
"We will release the statistics in the near future following our efforts in eradicating drug smuggling," he added.
Recently, Malay daily Utusan Malaysia quoted Langkawi Umno division chief Nawawi Ahmad as saying that the drug problem on the island was severe. - Mkini
