PKR president Anwar Ibrahim says there is no need to reveal every agreement he has with Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad, including on when the transition of power between them will happen.
"I am satisfied with my meetings with Mahathir, this is a done matter. Why dig it up to stir a fight?
"You can't ask an incumbent prime minister to reveal all sorts of matters in regards to the transition of power.
"It is enough for us to reiterate our understanding which he discusses directly with me each week," Anwar told the media in Kuala Lumpur tonight.
He said this when asked to respond to Mahathir's remarks yesterday that when he steps down, he would not leave the country in shambles like his predecessor Najib Abdul Razak did.
The prime minister also reiterated his promise that he would hand over power to Anwar.
No timeline has been set for the transition of power.
Mahathir and Anwar have both been dogged over the transition plan after Pakatan Harapan dethroned BN in May 2018. - Mkini
