PETALING JAYA: -Kedah PKR chief Johari Abdul said today he has handed to police certain documents linked to a book written about PKR president Anwar Ibrahim.
Johari was quoted in a media report as saying he went to federal police headquarters at Bukit Aman to make a statement about the book, Mengapa Anwar Tak Boleh Jadi PM, written by Yahaya Ismail, which he said was defamatory of Anwar.
He said he had handed over “documents linked to my case to be given to my investigating officer”. It was now up to Anwar what he wished to do next, said Johari, according to Sinar Harian.
Last week, Johari had made a police report about the book. He said he had received a copy of the manuscript on June 10 and found it to contain serious and defamatory allegations about Anwar, among them allegations about homosexuality, corruption and espionage.
It had also questioned a royal pardon granted to Anwar.
