Former premier Najib Abdul Razak declined to weigh in on the sex clip implicating Economic Affairs Minister Mohamed Azmin Ali.
"Why ask me? Do not ask me,” he said when journalists quizzed him on the matter as he was leaving the Kuala Lumpur High Court this evening.
"Ask the person concerned. I am not responsible for anything," added a smiling Najib.
The former premier was attending his trial for alleged abuse of power, graft and money laundering of RM42 million from SRC International Sdn Bhd.
Earlier, Azmin denied having anything to do with the sex video, calling it a diabolical plotto destroy his political career.
The PKR deputy president also said he has instructed his lawyer to initiate legal action against the person who made the accusation and others behind the video.
Malaysiakini reported yesterday that the videos were shared with reporters and several politicians, all of whom were added to mysterious WhatsApp groups in the wee hours of the morning.
This morning, a confession video was posted on the Facebook page of Haziq Abdullah Abdul Aziz, who is said to be the other man in the video engaging in sexual acts with the minister.
In the video, a person resembling Haziq claimed that he was with Azmin in the latter's hotel room in Sabah during the May 11 Sandakan by-election.
He also urged MACC to investigate the minister for corruption, claiming that he was unfit to be a leader.
Haziq, 27, is the Santubong PKR Youth chief, and senior private secretary to Deputy Primary Industries Minister Shamsul Iskandar Md Akin. - Mkini
