Deliver on promised reforms or face protests, Bersih tells gomen
gomen had not fulfilled its promises on reforms
Bersih will not hesitate to take to streets to demonstrate disappointment
Bersih said public disappointment, anger regarding (no) reform in this country
promises of reform, combating corruption just lip service

(OSTB : Here are some words of wisdom from me Syed Akbar Ali. Write this down in case you will forget. An abusive government does not need abusive laws to be abusive.
An abusive government can be abusive at any moment in time, and using anything at their disposal. If they want to abuse you by using the Postal Act they will do so. If they want to abuse you using the Cows and Goats Act they will do so.
The ISA was abolished 12 YRS AGO in 2012 (partly because of Bersih protests as well).But Pastor Koh disappeared in 2017, FIVE years AFTER the ISA was abolished.
Amri Che Mat disappeared in Nov 2016, also FIVE years AFTER the ISA was abolished.
- So they dont need the ISA to make you disappear.
- They can make you disappear at any time even without the ISA.
- And let me repeat the ISA was never an abusive law.
- It was a good law that kept the peace in our country for a long time.
Indeed this shall be the Greatest Commandment. "And you shall teach them diligently to your children and speak of them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. So when will all this stop? Once again the people are being called upon to save themselves. The people cannot rely on anyone else except themselves to effect positive change in this country.
The people have been sold out by all the so called "pillars of society". The religious fellows have certainly sold out their b_ _ksides to the lowest bidder since a long time ago.
Those-we-dont-speak-of were absolutely silent throughout the 1MDB corruption. Innocent people were being arrested, good men in the Police, in the MACC, in the AG's Chambers were being thrown out of their offices just for doing their jobs yet these "pillars of society" remained silent. And until today they remain as Those-we-dont-speak-of. If you speak about them, the boogeyman will come and get you. They can throw you in jail.
Here is a clip from the super-classic 2004 movie (in my opinion ok) "The Village". In this movie there is an ancient and isolated village in the woods. "The film is about a village whose population lives in fear of creatures inhabiting the woods beyond it, referred to as "Those We Don't Speak Of." Here is a short clip. At the end of the movie we find out that it was NOT an ancient village. It was actually the 20th century but the village elders wanted to withdraw from modern society. So they found some land in some very deep woods - far away from civilisation - and set up their little "ancient" community. No electricity, no water, no tv, no newspapers, no communication with the outside world. To keep their growing population of young children from venturing outside the village they invented the story of those-who-we-dont-speak-of. These are some non-existent monsters which are used to frighten the village youngsters into obedience.
To me this is what Malaysia has become. We have crafted an ancient, totally outdated and archaic system where we frighten our people with non-existent those-who-we-dont-speak-of types. You speak about them and they will come and get you.
We live in myths and legends. We are a childish people. Nature's children.
