In CNY message, Hadi says PAS' Islamic policy gives justice to all races

 

The Islam that PAS fights for guarantees justice and prosperity for all races, said party president Abdul Hadi Awang.

In a brief message in four languages - Malay, English, Chinese, and Tamil - in conjunction with the Chinese New Year celebration, he claimed that this was successfully proven under the PAS administration in Kelantan, Terengganu, Kedah, and Perlis.

“I would like to wish all the Chinese in Malaysia a Happy New Year. All of us want a prosperous Malaysia, where society lives harmoniously, peacefully, and fairly.

“The diversity of races and nationalities is celebrated as a sign of God’s greatness and is a natural part of human existence.

“Islam, which is the basis of PAS’ struggle, has guaranteed justice, peace, and wellbeing for all races and religions in this country,” he said.

He added that PAS adheres to the concept of no coercion in religion even though Islam has full power.

Peace and prosperity

According to Hadi, in the states controlled by PAS, religious freedom for followers of other religions is not hindered. He went on to say that no houses of worship were demolished and economic activities were not blocked.

“Even non-Muslims live peacefully and prosperously under the PAS administration by being given the right to freedom of religion and community.

“In living in this pluralistic society, we must also get to know each other’s culture, visit each other, and respect each other, so that we continue to live in a harmonious and happy atmosphere.

“I continue to learn about the culture and practices of other races in Malaysia.

“Therefore, my hope in conjunction with this Chinese New Year celebration is that racial unity in Malaysia continues to be strengthened and strengthened,” he added. - Mkini
