The mother of murder victim Zayn Rayyan Abdul Matiin has posted a heartwrenching congratulatory message for his graduation from kindergarten.
“Congratulations on your graduation Zayn Rayyan. Mommy is proud of your every achievement, no matter how big or small.
“Thanks to SK Damansara Damai (2) for the invite to the Graduation ceremony yesterday, it will be a sweet memory for my family,” Ismanira Abdul Manaf posted on Instagram yesterday.
“Mommy cannot take photographs (with their children) like the other parents, I can only edit like this,” she wrote as a caption to a doctored photo of her with Zayn in a graduation robe and hat.
In another Instagram story, Ismanira said that Zayn would have been overjoyed to receive so many presents during the graduation ceremony, which she attended with her husband and younger son.
“If Abang (Zayn) was around, he would have been jumping while clapping his hands for getting so many gifts,” she wrote.
On Dec 5 last year, six-year-old Zayn, who was autistic, was reported missing in Damansara Damai, before being found dead near a river, about 200m from his home at Idaman Apartment the next day.
Autopsy results revealed self-defence wounds on Zayn’s body and also indicated that the cause of death was injuries to the neck, believed to be caused by strangulation.
Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department director Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain recently said that there are no developments in Zayn’s murder probe.
However, his team will continue to investigate the case, with statements being recorded from over 200 individuals, he added.
