Areas in Kuala Langat set for unscheduled water supply disruption

 

Air Selangor says water tankers will be mobilised to the affected areas, with priority given to critical premises such as hospitals, clinics, dialysis centres and funeral parlours.

PETALING JAYA: Towns in Kuala Langat such as Banting, Morib and Jenjarom are expected to experience an unscheduled water supply disruption because of the temporary shutdown of the Labohan Dagang water treatment plant.

Air Selangor said the plant had to be temporarily shut down at 10pm because of a power supply disruption caused by emergency repair works on electrical equipment at the Olak Lempit main substation by TNB.

In a statement, it said water tankers will be mobilised to the affected areas, with priority given to critical premises such as hospitals, clinics, dialysis centres and funeral parlours during the supply disruption.

Air Selangor said Jugra, Panglima Garang, Sungai Buaya, Telok Datok, Telok Panglima Garang and Tongkah might also be affected.

The other areas that could be affected are Batu 7 Sempadan, Batu 7 Sijangkang, Batu 8 Sijangkang, Batu 9 Kampung Medan, Batu 9 Kebun Baru, Batu 9 Sijangkang, Batu 10 Kebun Baru, Jalan Raba Banting and Jalan Sijangkang Utama.

The water supply disruption could also affect Kampung Bandar, Kampung Busut, Kampung Endah, Kampung Kanchong Darat, Kampung Kanchong Laut, Kampung Kanchong Tengah, Kampung Kelanang, Kampung Olak Lempit and Kampung Permatang Pasir.

Kampung Pulau Carey, Kampung Sawah, Kampung Sungai Kelambu, Kampung Sungai Lang, Kampung Sungai Manggis, Kampung Sungai Sedu, Kampung Tali Air, Kawasan C Telok Sri Cheeding, Taman Kemuning, Taman Perwira, Taman Seri Medan, Taman Seri Putra, Taman Sijangkang Jaya are the other areas that might be affected.
