KUALA KUBU BARU: Five routes around Kuala Kubu Baharu (KKB) will be closed during the polling day for the by-election in the constituency, tomorrow.

Hulu Selangor district police chief Superintendent Ahmad Faizal Tahrim said the temporary closure will begin at 3pm until the polls completion.

"The closures and diversions involve Jalan Merdeka, Jalan Abdul Hamid, Jalan Dato Muda Jaafar, Jalan Mat Kilau, and Jalan Kamarudin.

"Alternative routes that can be taken are Jalan Kubu, Jalan Dato Tabal, Jalan Rasathurai, Jalan Dato Balai, Jalan Syed Masyor, and Jalan Pahang," he said in a statement today.

He reminded residents to adhere to instructions to facilitate traffic flow.

The official vote tallying centre will be held at the Multipurpose Hall and Sport Complex of the Hulu Selangor District and Land Office.

The by-election, which sees a four-cornered fight involving Pang Sock Tao (Pakatan Harapan), Khairul Azhari Saut (Perikatan Nasional), Hafizah Zainuddin (Parti Rakyat Malaysia), and Nyau Ke Xin (Independent), was held following the death of its incumbent Lee Kee Hiong, 58, due to cancer on March 21.
