KOTA BHARU: A general manager of a government agency and two other senior officers have been detained by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission on suspicion of involvement in corruption.
An MACC source said the senior officers aged 40, 47, and 49 were detained after their statements were recorded at the state MACC office between 7.15pm and 8pm tonight.
They were detained to allow the MACC to conduct further investigation into soliciting and receiving bribes.
Kelantan MACC director Rosli Husain confirmed the arrest and said the three suspects would be brought to the court tomorrow morning for a remand order to be obtained. - FMT
