The local council elections in Britain are over (Thursday). As was expected by many Brits the ruling Conservative Party (Rishi Sunak) has been badly routed. The full results are not all in yet (by today) but they certainly show a defeat for the Conservatives. (Will follow up when all the results are in).
Will there be a change in prime minister in the UK? At this point we dont know yet. But there will be a general election in the UK in just a few more months. Rishi Sunak better not lead the Tories - it will be a disaster.
Over in Scotland Hamza Yousuf the 'Minister of State' for Scotland (aka the leader of the largest party in Scotland) has also resigned his post after just over a year in office. Same issue - he could not deliver or pull his wagon in one direction.
This is what we need and this is the great saving grace in democracies - WHEN THEY CANNOT DELIVER KICK THEM OUT.
MALAYSIANS MUST REMEMBER THIS.
It is very true - the politicians are like soiled baby diapers.
The more often we change the soiled diapers the cleaner and better it is for our future generations.
