TANAH MERAH: Wildlife officials captured a wild elephant in Kampung Tal Tujuh, Jerangau yesterday following complaints about the disturbances it caused in the village.
“The villagers are relieved as they will no longer suffer losses due to conflict with the elephant,” Hafid Rohani, state director of the wildlife and national parks department, said in a statement today.
Hafid said the elephant would be relocated to a safer and more suitable habitat with the help of staff from the national elephant conservation centre. - FMT
