PKR has appointed Fuziah Salleh as its new secretary-general, replacing Saifuddin Nasution Ismail.
In a statement today, PKR vice-president Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad announced that Saifuddin had let go of the position and will focus his efforts as Pakatan Harapan secretary-general instead.
The move was part of a leadership reshuffle decided by the party’s central leadership committee today.
“The PKR central leadership committee in its meeting today decided to reshuffle several key positions with the aim of strengthening the party’s operations,” he said.
Saifuddin will also be the advisor of the party’s newly formed management committee, whose members are vice president Fuziah, Nurul Izzah Anwar, treasurer-general William Leong, youth deputy chief Muhammad Kamil Munim and women’s deputy chief Juwairiya Zulkifli.
The purpose of this new committee is unclear.
Also reshuffled today was the leadership of Perak PKR with Mohamad Hairul Amir Sabri replacing Chang Lih Kang as state chief.
Fuziah’s post as Pahang PKR chief will be filled by Rizal Jamin. - Mkini
