The Kelantan State Assemblymen of Galas Che Hashim Sulaiman died 4.30 pm today at Al-Islam Hospital in Kuala Lumpur, Kelantan Pas Liaison Secretary Mohd Zaki Ibrahim confirmed.
State assembly speaker Datuk Nasuruddin Daud said Che Hashim was admitted to the hospital two days ago treat his colon cancer.

"I called him two days ago and he told me he was in the national capital for treatment," he told Bernama.
He was diagnosed with the ailment in May last year and underwent an operation at a hospital in Beijing, China.
Che Hashim won the Galas assemblyman in the last general election after defeating Saufi Deraman of Barisan Nasional with a majority of 646 votes.
He polled 4,399 votes as against Saufi's 3,753.
