A shopping spree that never was?

VOXPOP 'It took more than a week or so to discover the PM's daughter was not in Perth and to deny the allegation?'

'Najib's daughter wasn't in Perth at all

vox populi small thumbnail1M: Referring to the consulate-general's denial, apparently we have commented falsely about PM's daughter based on the earlier information received, therefore we should admit our mistakes and apologise.

Karma: Nobody can trust the government these days. Just take the RM24 million ring. The law minister can say the ring has been returned because there was no buyer.

Then the health minister can say there was no tear gas fired at the hospital at the Bersih 2.0 rally. In addition, the PM argued there was no physical contact by the police at the rally.

The home minister also accused the Parti Socialis Malaysia 6 of waging war against the king. So can we trust them to say the PM's daughter was not in Perth?

Bender: The Australian media says one thing while the New Straits Times comes up with another - who do you believe? I put my money on the foreign media, of course.

Siapa Raja: Anyway, what's really wrong with the PM's daughter going on a shopping spree? I see absolutely nothing wrong with it.

If the mother can do it, then it's okay for the daughter to follow suit. As the saying goes, like mother like daughter.

Dede: Beware! Australian immigration records do not disappear as easily as Bolehland's records.

2CTS Worth: It took more than a week or so to discover the PM's daughter was not in Perth and to deny the allegation? The West Australian newspaper should come right out and apologise or be sued.

Naaah!: Was she in Perth or elsewhere in Australia? Obviously a mere verbal denial is not enough.

The government should file an official complaint or sue the daily if Najib wanted to show the people that his daughter is innocent. "Looks like me. Sounds like me. But it's not me!"

My THOR: Is Utusan Malaysia the ‘twin sister' of the West Australian, spinning wild and fictitious news on Najib's daughter shopping spree in Perth?

Perhaps West Australian should be advised that there is a truce among Malaysian politicians not to involve family members when attacking one's opponent.

Utusan, your ‘twin sister' is doing great following the path that you took.

Ordinaryman: It is not fair to the daughter of the PM to be accused of a shopping spree in Perth without any documentary evidence, either by our immigration authorities or their Australian counterpart. Do not speculate in the name of the child.

SS2 Girl: Oh dear, now you know how it feels to have your child be reported falsely about something she didn't do. And it sure feels horrible, doesn't it? - Malaysiakini

Malay: I think it is to distort the Malaysian mind and done by some UMNO/BN insiders. Normally newspapers do not make just grave mistake. Since Rosmah is faced by the 24 Million diamond ring problem, by creating this diversion, the UMNO/BN leaders may be able to show the people that mistakes could be made and there was no such thing that Rosmah bought the diamond ring although it really exist.

Another publicity stunt to FOOL THE MALAYSIAN RAKYAT.
