JOHOR BARU, July 14 — Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin wants Gelang Patah Barisan Nasional (BN) to go all out to defend the Gelang Patah parliamentary seat at the 13th general election, which he said will be held “anytime soon”.
The deputy prime minister, who is also BN deputy chairman, said BN should retain the Gelang Patah seat as the state administrative centre, Nusajaya, was located in the parliamentary constituency.
“I call on every member of Umno and BN component parties in Gelang Patah to go all out to defend the Gelang Patah parliamentary seat. There’s no time to rest now. We must work hard 24 hours a day to ensure victory for BN.”
Muhyiddin said this when opening Gelang Patah Umno delegation meeting, which was also attended by its chief, Datuk Abdul Aziz Sapian.
The Gelang Patah parliamentary seat is currently held by MCA’s Tan Ah Heng.
