KUALA LUMPUR, April 4 — Saboteurs within Barisan Nasional (BN) will emerge in Election 2013 once the ruling coalition announces its candidates, Umno supreme council member Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan predicted today.
Mohamad, who is also Negri Sembilan mentri besar, said it was bound to happen as there will always be people dissatisfied that they were not picked to run in the elections.
“When the candidates are announced, there will be those who will sabotage the party and there will be two factions,” he told reporters after attending the BN meeting with coalition chairman Datuk Seri Najib Razak at the Umno headquarters here.
“Datuk Seri Najib had said it earlier, don’t fight,” he added.
However, Mohamad was confident the 13-party bloc will win back its two-thirds supermajority in Parliament so long as BN could beat the challenge posed by internal saboteurs.
