Where is Bagan Datoh MRSM project, PAS asks Zahid

Perak PAS has quizzed Bagan Datoh MP and Home Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi on his long unfulfilled promise that a Maktab Rendah Sains Mara (MRSM) will be be built in the parliamentary constituency.

According to state PAS issues and strategy coordinator Dr Raja Ahmad Iskandar Al Hiss, Zahid had on March 14, 2008, announced that the federal government would allocate RM110 million to build an MRSM in the constituency.

"On June 22, 2010, Ahmad Zahid, who was then defence minister, announced that the MRSM would cater to children of Armed Forces officers. Two general elections have passed since then and we would like to ask him whether the promise will be fulfilled.

"We are puzzled that the Bagan Datoh people have become pawns of Zahid's empty promises to mislead them to vote for him. We will continue to expose more empty promises made by Zahid that have not been fulfilled," Raja Ahmad added in a statement.

The question posed by PAS appears to be a tit-for-tat for Zahidrubbishing yesterday of Pakatan Rakyat's mere 15 percent implementation of its manifesto promises before the 13th general election.
