Selangor Menteri Besar Khalid Ibrahim will have an audience with Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah to get his permission whether to release or not the 321 Bibles seized by the Selangor Islamic Department (Jais) in January.
Khalid said the exco this afternoon will discuss its options to propose to the sultan (right).
The audience will be soon, Khalid told reporters at the sidelines of the state legislative assembly seating.
This follows a meeting between the state government, the Selangor Islamic council (Mais) and Jais along with the Selangor mufti yesterday, which did not result in a conclusive decision.
Khalid said he and his exco members wanted the Bibles be returned but Mais and Jais wanted them to be destroyed.
"The ruler will be given options on whether to adopt the Mais, or state government's decision, based on the recommendation made by attorney general," he said.
It was reported last week that attorney-general Abdul Gani Patail had decided to close the case.
