Najib reminds Cabinet to spend allocation prudently

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak today reminded his Cabinet members to be wise and prudent in spending the government allocations to ensure that they benefit the people.

Najib, in his Facebook page, said the reminder was conveyed during the first Cabinet meeting for 2016 in Putrajaya yesterday.

"In the first Cabinet meeting of 2016, which I chaired yesterday, I have reminded the Cabinet to spend all the allocated budget prudently and wisely."

He also reminded the Cabinet to ensure that all programmes planned and carried out would give a positive impact to the people as a whole.

"However, programmes for the people should continue to be carried out, and make sure that all of these programmes will bring a positive impact to the people as a whole, without spending excessively," he said. – Bernama
